Låt oss hoppas att det inte blir så. Men i går var det val och ”Renässanspartiet” Ennahda under ledning av Rashid al-Ghannouchi fick den överlägset största andelen röster, cirka fyrtio procent vad det verkar.
Detta parti beskrivs ofta som ”moderat islamistiskt”, bland annat i NYTimes. Och om man läser partiets ”valmanifest” (pdf – källa) så finner man visserligen en del hänvisningar till Koranen och islam, men på det hela taget så hittar man ingen islamism där, tycker jag.
Men Anna Ekström har tyvärr funnit en del oroväckande uttalanden av Ghannouchi om motsatsen. Jag citerar:
Zionism and the State of Israel are representative of the global secularism and materialism which have taken over the entire world. The battle against Zionism is not just about land but about a far greater clash between secular materialism and the Islamic civilisation built on spirituality and justice. Any attempt to liberate Palestine must be done at a global all-encompassing level with Islam as the framework of reference; Palestine will not be liberated until there is a war against oppression in all its forms throughout the world.
Vidare ser jag här, att Ghannouchi har skrivit under på att skapa en ”tredje jihadistisk front” i Gaza tillsammans med Hamas. Och här kan man, på en sida som bevakar det Muslimska Brödraskapet läsa, att ”Det globala Muslimska Brödraskapet hävdar att man segrat i Tunisien”.

Rachid Ghannouchi (many spelling variations) is the leader of the Tunisian Islamist movement known as Nahada (aka Ennahda, Al Nahda) and can best be described as an independent Islamist power center who is tied to the global Muslim Brotherhood though his membership in the European Council for Fatwa and Research (ECFR) and his important position in the International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), both organizations led by Global Muslim Brotherhood Youssef Qaradawi. An Egyptian news report has identified Ghannouchi as a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood “abroad.” Ghannouchi is also one of the founding members of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), a Saudi organization closely linked to the Muslim Brotherhood and dedicated to the propagation of “Wahabist” Islam throughout the world.
Här ser vi också namnet Youssef Qaradawi nämnas, ytterligare en potentat inom det Muslimska Brödraskapet. Som jag skrev i denna bloggning, är han (ö)känd för bland annat följande uttalanden:
– “Oh Allah, take this oppressive, Jewish Zionist band of people. Oh Allah, do not spare a single one of them,” he said during the Gaza War in January 2009, in remarks translated by the press monitoring organization MEMRI. “Oh Allah, count their numbers, and kill them, down to the very last one.”
“Throughout history, Allah has imposed upon the Jews people who would punish them for their corruption. The last punishment was carried out by Hitler. By means of all the things he did to them – even though they exaggerated this issue – he managed to put them in their place. This was divine punishment for them. Allah willing, the next time will be at the hand of the believers.”
Jag vet inte om de som röstade på Ennahda i Tunisien skriver under på detta, men partiledaren tycks i vart fall inte ha några problem att dels relatera till Qaradawi, dels vara med om att starta en saudisk ungdomsorganisation med syftet att sprida wahabistisk islam över hela världen.
Wahabismen är, enligt Wikipedia, en ”mycket strikt fundamentalistisk eller exoterisk riktning inom sunniislam”.
Om man därtill lägger att Europadomstolen för de mänskliga rättigheterna har funnit att islamismen är ”oförenlig med demokratins grundläggande principer”, så blir det sammanfattningsvis ganska svårt att tro att Ennahda-partiet verkligen står för demokrati.
Vad de egentligen står för verkar alltså vara anti-sionism, anti-demokrati, jihad och spridandet av fundamentalistisk wahabism över hela världen.
Tråkigt, synd och ledsamt blir det alltså, om detta val leder till att ”den arabiska vårens” ursprungsland ska drabbas av islamistisk vinter. Tyvärr är det som du ser mycket som tyder på det …
